AI Stock Analyzer ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that provides AI-powered stock and cryptocurrency analysis. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Extension.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

• Personal identification information (name, email, address)
• Financial account information or credentials
• Browsing history or activity outside the Extension
• Device identifiers or IP addresses
• Usage analytics or telemetry

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The Extension stores the following data only on your device using Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local):

• Watchlist — stock tickers you choose to track
• Portfolio — positions you manually enter (ticker, shares, buy price)
• Search history — tickers you have analyzed
• Chat conversations — your AI chat messages
• Preferences — language setting (Ukrainian / English) and theme (dark / light)
• Price cache — temporary price data (expires in 2–30 minutes)

This data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server. You can clear it at any time by removing the Extension or via Chrome's storage settings.

4. Data Sent to Our Backend

When you use the Extension, the following data is sent to our Cloudflare Worker backend solely to fulfill your request:

• Stock/crypto ticker symbols — to fetch price data and generate AI analysis (e.g., "TSLA", "BTC")
• Your chat messages — sent to the AI model to generate a response
• Language preference — to return analysis in your chosen language

This data is processed in real time to generate a response and is not logged, stored, or used for any other purpose.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension uses the following third-party APIs to retrieve financial data and generate AI responses:

• Groq API (Llama 3.3 70B model) — for AI analysis and chat responses. Groq Privacy Policy
• Finnhub — for real-time stock prices and financial data. Finnhub Privacy Policy
• Yahoo Finance — for price history charts and fallback pricing. Yahoo Privacy Policy

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

6. Permissions Used

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage — to save your watchlist, portfolio, and preferences locally
• alarms — to check prices in the background for price alerts
• notifications — to display price alert notifications

7. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
